RSCDS London - our history
The Scottish Country Dance Society was founded in 1923 and has been promoting Scottish country dance all over the world ever since. The 'Royal' title was bestowed by King George VI in 1951.
​
The London branch was formed in 1930 as the first branch outside of Scotland and is still one of the largest branches today.
